Los Angeles based Pop/RnB Singer-Songwriter, Shelby Scott has been performing since the age of 7. Scott grew up listening and singing to a wide variety of music – from Pop, Country, Classic Rock, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. All of these early influences can still be identified in her current music, a sound-alike of influences such as Tori Kelly, John Mayer, Ariana Grande and H.E.R. She began studying voice at an early age under Jeremy Ragsdale (Berklee Faculty and X Factor Romania Season 7 Winner). Scott developed a love for songwriting after attending the School of Creative and Performing Arts under the direction of Rebecca Jordan Smith (Prince, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend) in 2015. Shelby went on to pursue music academically in 2016. A lover of all things music, Shelby is a BMI songwriter, vocal arranger, producer, avid guitar player, and has been featured in music videos, as well as appeared on tracks for other artists.

 

While receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree in Commercial Music and Music Business from Belmont University, Shelby spent time honing in on vocal technique and style, composition, and the practices of the music business. Shelby has since graduated the program in December of 2019.
